Built for heavy sleepers

Wake-up challenges

Math problems, shake counts or walking steps. The alarm stops only when the challenge is done — and by then, so is your sleep.

The snooze ladder

Each snooze gets more expensive. An escalating penalty system with a daily cap keeps "5 more minutes" honest.

Streaks & milestones

3, 7, 30, 100 days of on-time mornings — with shareable milestone cards. Accountability that compounds.

Backup alarms

Multi-layer notifications make sure one missed ring never ruins your morning.

Sleep sounds

Fall asleep to noise generators and calming soundscapes — then wake up for real.

Wake-up check

Two minutes after dismissing, Wakora asks if you're still up. Going back to bed gets caught.

A conventional alarm can be silenced in about one second with a single tap. Wakora replaces that tap with a task you cannot complete while still asleep — solving arithmetic, shaking the phone a set number of times, walking a number of steps, doing push-ups, or scanning a barcode you left in another room.

Questions

How is it different from a normal alarm?

Normal alarms die with one sleepy tap. Wakora demands a real challenge — math, shaking or steps — before it goes quiet.

Can I still snooze?

Yes, but each snooze costs more than the last, with a daily cap. Premium includes a few free snoozes per morning.

Is it free?

Core alarm and challenges are free. Premium unlocks all challenge types, stats, app blocking and the penalty system.

Which languages?

English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and more — 10 store languages.

Does Wakora work if the phone is on silent or Focus?

Yes. Wakora schedules a system-level alarm and keeps protected background audio, so the alarm rings at full volume through Silent Mode and Focus, and keeps ringing until the challenge is finished.

What happens if I force-quit the app?

A layered notification fallback fires even if iOS terminates the app, and a backup alarm is scheduled a few minutes after the main one. Wakora also warns you in-app if alarm scheduling was ever interrupted.

Is Wakora the same app as WakeGuard?

Yes. The app was previously published as WakeGuard and was renamed to Wakora in August 2026. It is the same app, same developer, and existing subscriptions and streaks carry over.

How much does Premium cost?

Premium is offered weekly, monthly or yearly, and the yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial. Prices vary by country and are shown in the app before purchase.
